SK Gaming have qualified for DreamHack Open London after seeing off PENTA Sports by a 3-1 scoreline (16-13 on de_inferno, 16-3 on de_train, 13-16 on de_dust2 and 16-14 on de_overpass).
The first semi-final of the DreamHack Open London qualifier, featuring eight teams from all over Europe, saw SK Gaming once again field mousesports backup player Nikola "NiKo" Kovač as a stand-in, this time against PENTA, who have been struggling to make their mark on the international scene in recent months.
As expected, the Bosnian talent carried his team to a dominant display, with SK taking a 2-0 lead in the series following a 16-13 win on de_inferno and a 16-3 demolition job on de_train.
NiKo powered SK to a convincing win over PENTA
PENTA then pulled one back thanks to a 16-13 victory on de_dust2, but their recovery was short lived as SK put the final nail into the Germans' coffin with a 16-14 success on de_overpass.
